Levi Ski Resorts' dashing selection of terrain parks has gotten a new addition recently. Front Slopes' brand new Fun Park is a great place to explore freestyle skiing because it fits skiers and snowboarders at multiple skill levels. So if you know how to turn and brake, head out to explore Fun Park!

Levi Bike Park turns 15 years old in the upcoming summer. The idea of building a Bike Park to Levi was born on a study trip to Canada, in Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort in summer 2005. Next summer, Northern Finland's first Bike Park was built to Levi. Now, Levi Bike Park is one of the most popular biking centers in Finland. 

LED slope lighting technology has provided a significant boost to our energy saving efforts. However, at least equally important is the professionalism of the staff in the control rooms. Timely adjustments to slope lighting in accordance with rapidly changing weather conditions is crucial to both slope safety and to energy savings.

Levi Ski Resort was awarded as the Best Ski Resort in Finland in the international World Ski Awards, the most prestigious awards program within the global ski tourism industry. Competing in the same category were also the Finnish ski resorts Ruka, Pyhä, Salla, Ylläs and Iso-Syöte.

Levi's ski season started already on October 2, 2020, however, the start of the winter season will be celebrated on the Front Slopes on November 6.-8.11.2020. Come and enjoy the snowy program together with friends and family!

Levi’s location in Lapland is excellent in terms of guaranteed snow. Still we need to also resort to making snow. And that is why the resource and energy efficiency of snowmaking is important for the environmental efforts at Levi Ski Resort.

Levi Ski Resort has been using geothermal energy and surplus heat to warm indoor spaces for a long time now. The resort uses surplus heat generated by, for example, snow gun compressors by transferring it to the geothermal pipeline and thus supplementing geothermal energy use.

We asked Antti Rauhala, Property Manager at Levi Ski Resort, how the energy efficiency of Levi properties has developed over the years to where it is now. We also discussed the next steps in development.
