At Levi Ski Resort, waste sorting was started as early as in the 1980s. Today, the ski resort, which has developed its own set of sorting symbols, is known among other operators in the tourism industry as a waste sorting pioneer, to whom others come to seek advice.

Did you know that Levi Ski Resort is the first ski resort in the Nordics to have obtained the ISO 14001 environmental certificate?

The international ISO 14001 environment certification, awarded to us in 2018, is a recognition to our systematic efforts to preserve arctic nature. Granted and monitored by an external auditor, the certificate requires continued development activities from us in the future as well as calculations into the environmental impacts of the different areas of our business..

Levi's summer is full of outdoor activities and and summer adventures. Our activities take place outdoors in open air and there is always space to keep a safe distance to other guests.

March 22th, 2020 – LAPLAND, FINLAND – Ylläs, Levi, Luosto, Olos, Pallas and Ounasvaara ski resorts have decided to close their lifts already today. The situation has changed since last Friday afternoon, after media reported Finnish people started heading to Lapland.

March 20th, 2020 – LEVI, FINLAND – Levi Ski Resort has decided to suspend all of its operations during next week until the end of the ski season. In practice, next Friday March 27th, 2020 will be the last day the resort is open during this ski season. This proactive measure is undertaken in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. With this action, Levi Ski Resort wants to secure the health and wellbeing of both customers and employees, and to support the measures taken by the Finnish Government.
